A new firmware release for Kryptview Boxes will be released in coming days (all being well).

Reports suggest EPG Fixes & Pixalating Fixes.  There has also been a mention of some graphic improvements and changes to how the Now & Next operates.

There will also be an update for IRISH KryptViews that have been crashing.  This issue has been addressed and should fix the problem.

Please note this is a public beta release. Lots of changes have been made - lots of features therefore may have minor issues. A followup release will take care of these as they arise.

Changes:
-------

- Auto Category - channels are automatically inserted into the correct category
whilst scanning. This should work for future channels too.
- The default audio stream is now the non-narrative stream.
If you still want audio commentary for the visually impaired then you can choose

A new version of firmware has been released for the KryptView box.

This update was released on 29 November 2007 and includes an improved EPG and scan fix for Ireland

Major upgrade to Virgin's cable broadband service to be beta tested by customers in areas of Kent including Dover, Ashford and Folkestone.

Virgin Media will begin public trials next month of its 50Mb cable broadband service, selecting areas of Kent for the initial trial.
